James has been in the design/build and construction industry for the past 13 years, working closely with firms such as Donnally Architects and Vandeventer + Callander Architects to develop successful projects. At the core of his work is a belief that good design is at the intersections of beauty and economy. James is a D.C. native and a graduate of George Washington University's International Affairs program.
Sam was an elementary school teacher in New York City when he decided to go back to school for architecture. He believes that similar to a well-run classroom, a successful architecture project is as much the result of clear communication and sharp organization as it is passion for the ideas. He is an active volunteer in his community and teaches regularly at the UW Department of Architecture. Sam holds a Master of Teaching from Pace University in New York and a Master of Architecture from the University of Washington.
